To understand that typography is everywhere! observe TEXT in social media feeds, in books, in advertising, and countless other places. think :: Where have you sen Flying texts? explore how letters , words and fonts are designed to play a big part in the message we receive. evaluate : can Words change the mood of a person.? learn compositional skills in the process of creating a collage.

Learning Outcomes

  • understand that text plays an important role in art.
  • learn compositional skills in the process of making a collage simple video recording reflect and respond based on their works

Process for the Lesson

The learners will look into Roberta smith , sanders
Will observe collage by picasso
Will record themselves speaking positive words into the air .they can modulate voices , be creative with their performances, add drama to it, they will have a peer discussion about the impact of positive / negative words on people . Do words have the power to change moods / feelings and personalities in a person ??

Game: The scavenger hunt begins – the learners will find” Text l’in and a round the house and bring it to the table.
the learners will create and complete an art work using part or all of the items from the scavenger hunt and include other words to finish the collage The students will finally record the process in a simple video format and this will be their reflection .
