Aim & Objectives

The lesson aims to help students include three different art forms ( Visual art, Story writing and story telling through mime) and create a work of art. Students will be able to give more importance to the magic of art.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to create original works of art with minimum elemnts and using elements of art in experimental manner.
Students will be to connect three art forms to gether and use technology to create content based art work.
Students will be able to use thier imagination.

Process for the Lesson

PHASE ONE: Ceating Visuals Lesson
Step 1. Tear 10-15 random shapes from old newspaper keeping in mind the visual texture and colours.
     # the size of the shapes will not be bigger than 5inches X2 Inches and the shapes should as irregular as possible
     # the shapes should not be repeated and tear as many variety of shapes possible.
Step 2. Randomly select the 4 shapes and drop them on a sheet.
Step 3. Select one shape and only paste that one at itl’s position with slightest changes.
Step 4. Paste the other Shapes, using basic sense of composition.
Step 5. Imagine: Using Black marker, visialize and draw forms interpreting them as natural or manmade objects/character.
Step 6. Make 3 of these drawings , in same process and complete them using creative efforts.

PHASE TWO: Story Telling
Step 1. Tell a story by connecting the elements, interpreting the 3 Drawings as creating story boards. in any sequence.
Step 2. Write the story folllowing basic charecterstics of story writing. with Theme, plot, structure and characters are all important elements of a good story. with a guidance and encouragement students can come up with wonderful Ideas.

PHASE THREE: Act it out
Step 1. Demonstrate and guide students how to tell a story with intonation and voice changes.
Step 2. Introduce basic elements of MIME acting , gesture and make up.
Step 3. Ask them to practice the stories with family members.
Step 4. Create a video with story telleni anf showing the Story boards/ or any ways they like to tell the story and share.
     # The end products are Chance Collage drawings, Orginal Story and a video of ther performance.
