Runner Up - Art Teaching Techniques

Project Brief

Printing was introduced to grade 5. History of printing, various methods and materials involved and how printing g from wood block to computer printing has evolved was discussed as a class. The students were asked to come up with an Image that is close to their heart. Then they drew their ideas on Styrofoam plates. They deepened the drawing-by-drawing over with pencils using pressure. Hence creating grooves. Acrylic paints were rolled over using a rubber brayer and the print was transferred onto paper.
