I am Mandakini Mathur from Panchgani. I founded Devrai Art Village along with Suresh Pungati, a tribal artist, in 2008. Since then we have grown in numbers to around 50 tribal men and women from the remote far-flung areas of Gadchiroli and Chattisgarh who now live in Panchgani and work with us in creating and experimenting both with the medium and the design primarily in indigenous metal arts. Our innovation in metal art -Devrai Rock Dhokra is the first time ever fusion of stone with Brass (under patent process)

I am also a writer and a filmmaker and now eager to explore and document the Indian storytelling arts which are being forgotten.
